Today marks the end of Verismo’s first year as an opera company. Thank you for your support this past year as audience members and supporters of our fledgling opera company.
We have some great shows planned to finish out our first season, The Magic Flute will be performed March 25 and 27 and Madama Butterfly is scheduled for July 29 and 31. As we embark on 2011 and our last two shows of the first season, we ask you for your support. As you well know, opera requires significant resources to bring it to life. And while ticket sales help fund the productions, opera is not possible without your support. Donations of all sizes help Verismo bring opera to the stage.
Our New Year's Resolution
In 2011 and beyond, Verismo Opera Club plans to bring opera to the schools, introducing it to younger audiences that may not have had the opportunity in the past. Our longer-term plans also involve local summer arts educational workshops for younger singers. This will also involve providing some scholarships to those that may not be able to attend the workshops otherwise.
As an official non-profit 501(3)(c) arts organization registered in the State of Illinois, contributions to Versimo Opera Club are tax deductible. If you are interested in making a contribution for the 2010 year, today is the last day to make a donation for this year.
There are two ways to submit your donation:
